Requested by ENT customer: Genetec
Summary:
When using On-Demand Reviews, users cannot add, remove, or change reviewers once the review has been created. If a reviewer change is needed, the only workaround is to cancel the review and recreate it, which introduces risk, rework, and workflow disruption.
Customer Problem / Context:
Genetec frequently works with large, shifting SME groups. It is common for a reviewer to begin a review and then realize another SME needs to review first, or in parallel. Today, there is no way to adjust reviewers mid-review, forcing users to cancel the review entirely and restart the process. This is especially painful given existing sensitivity around review saves and audit history.
Current Limitation:
- On-Demand Reviews lock reviewer assignment at creation
- No ability to add or swap reviewers once the review is active
- Canceling a review risks lost context, confusion, and additional coordination overhead
Requested Enhancement:
Allow users (with appropriate permissions) to edit reviewer assignments on an active On-Demand Review, including:
- Adding an additional reviewer
- Replacing an existing reviewer
- Preserving review state, comments, and activity history
Why This Matters:
- Reflects real-world SME workflows where reviewer order changes frequently
- Reduces unnecessary review cancellations and rework
- Improves trust in the review process and overall efficiency
- Aligns with customer expectations for flexible, collaborative review management
Business Impact:
High. This impacts daily operational workflows for proposal and content teams managing complex, multi-SME reviews and compounds frustration when paired with existing review-related issues.
