Problem:The current review email does not clearly say whether the review is sequential, any, or all. That creates confusion for reviewers, especially in sequential reviews where someone may receive an email before it is their turn.
Requested change:Add the review process type directly into the review email body using text, not just icons. For example:
- Review type: Sequential
- Review type: Any
- Review type: All
Additionally, sequential reviewers should not receive the ‘Sections Ready for Review’ email until it is their turn to act.
Why this matters:Reviewers need to understand the expected workflow immediately from the email so they do not assume they can act before they are supposed to.
The below email is for a sequential review. Both users received a notification stating the Section was ready for review, but Reviewer #2 was unable to action until Reviewer #1 was complete. Ideally, Reviewer #2 wouldn’t receive a notification until it is their turn.
