Problem Statement
Federated Hermes uses Responsive to respond to regulated due diligence questionnaires and RFPs in the asset management industry. As part of their compliance review process, they maintain an internal list of prohibited words and phrases (e.g., promissory language) that cannot appear in client-facing responses.
While the existing Quality Check feature identifies generic issues such as missing responses and URLs, it cannot be customized to validate customer-specific compliance rules.
As a result, reviewers must manually inspect every submission to ensure prohibited terminology is not used, adding significant time to the peer review process and increasing the risk of human error.
Requested Enhancement
Allow organizations to create custom Quality Check rules that evaluate responses against customer-defined criteria.
Examples include:
- Prohibited words or phrases
- Required terminology
- Compliance-specific language rules
- Organization-specific writing standards
These checks should run alongside the existing Quality Check and flag any violations prior to project completion.

This would reduce manual compliance reviews, improve consistency across submissions, and help regulated organizations ensure responses adhere to internal communication standards before delivery.
