Background
Several customers have recently provided feedback around how they are leveraging AI platforms such as ChatGPT and Claude. A common workflow they highlighted is the ability to create “projects” or contextual workspaces where users upload supporting documents, instructions, reference materials, and contextual guidance. The AI is then able to understand the complete context of those documents when generating responses.
In Responsive, while we already provide strong AI-powered drafting capabilities through the Content Library, the current AI Draft functionality within Projects does not consider supporting documents uploaded under the Project Documents section.
Current Behavior
Today, when AI Draft is invoked in a Project:
- AI primarily searches and references content from the Content Library
- Supporting documents uploaded under the Project’s Documents section are not considered during answer generation
- As a result, AI-generated responses may lack project-specific context, formatting guidance, customer instructions, or nuanced response expectations provided in uploaded documents
Customer Use Case
In Responsive Projects, users typically:
- Create a Project
- Import a source questionnaire or RFP
- Map sections/questions
- Upload supporting documents under the Project Documents section
These supporting documents often contain:
- Response instructions
- Customer-specific terminology
- Tone/style expectations
- Proposal strategy guidance
- Compliance nuances
- Contextual information unique to that bid/opportunity
However, AI Draft currently generates responses based only on Content Library references and does not utilize these uploaded supporting materials.
Requested Enhancement
Enable Responsive AI Draft to:
- Ingest and understand supporting documents uploaded within the Project Documents section
- Use those documents as contextual guidance during response generation
- Combine:
- Organizational knowledge from the Content Library
- Project-specific instructions and context from uploaded documents
This would create a more contextual, accurate, and customer-aligned AI drafting experience.
