Content Review Visibility and “Last Reviewed” Indicator
Requested by ENT customers: Genetec, O.C. Tanner
Problem / Current State
- When content is opened for review and only metadata is updated (tags, keywords, SME assignments, etc.), the “Last Updated” date does not change.
- From a reviewer and writer perspective, this creates ambiguity and erodes trust, especially when evaluating older content surfaced by AI.
- Writers explicitly noted that content may be accurate and intentionally unchanged, but there is no signal that it was recently reviewed by a human.
Requested Enhancement
- Introduce a “Last Reviewed” date that updates whenever a reviewer completes a review, regardless of whether the core answer text changes.
- Visibly distinguish Last Updated vs. Last Reviewed in the content details and review experience.
Why This Matters
- Directly improves trust in AI-assisted outputs by giving users confidence that content has been recently validated.
- Reduces false assumptions that older content is stale or risky simply because it hasn’t been edited.
- Supports auditability and governance, particularly for security, compliance, and policy-driven content.
Primary Impacted Users
- Writers and reviewers
- InfoSec / compliance stakeholders
- Teams evaluating AI confidence and traceability
