I’d love to see Responsive bridge the gap on two essential editor features that are currently a major friction point for power users and those of us managing accessibility/RSI concerns (like carpal tunnel):
- Custom Keyboard Shortcut Mapping: Let us define our own keys for high-frequency tasks to reduce "mouse travel."
- "Repeat Action" Functionality: In standard editors (Word, Google Docs), the Redo command (Command+Shift+Z on my Mac) acts as a "Repeat Last Action." If I apply a style to one paragraph, I should be able to hit Redo to apply it to the next. This would save me 3-5 clicks per action, for a total of 50-100 clicks per Q&A pair. I wish I were kidding.
Reducing repetitive clicking isn't just a "nice-to-have" for speed; it’s a necessity for an inclusive, ergonomic workspace. Bringing these industry-standard tools to Responsive would be a huge win for both productivity and user health!
I’m halfway tempted to post a photo of the hideous Dickensian compression gloves I have to wear to get through a busy content-update day, but I’ll spare you the visual! In all seriousness, these small UX changes make a massive difference for those of us navigating RSI or carpal tunnel. Let’s make the editor as ergonomic as it is powerful.
