Request:
Allow customers to define a prioritization order for the content sources Responsive AI uses when generating answers.
Current Behavior:
Customers can use the Content Type filter to select a specific source, such as External Data Sources. However, once a content type is selected, other sources such as the Content Library are excluded from consideration.
Desired Behavior:
Customers should be able to configure a hierarchy such as:
- External Data Sources
- Content Library
- Other available sources
Responsive AI should first look for relevant information in the highest-priority source and then fall back to the next source if sufficient context is not available.
Customer Use Case:
The customer wants Responsive AI to prioritize information from their External Data Sources because this content may be more current, while still being able to use the Content Library as a secondary source.
For example, if an external landing page contains security-related information, AI currently crawls the entire page and identifies relevant context based on the question. The customer would like more control over both the source prioritization and, ideally, the specific content AI references.
Business Value:
This would give customers greater control over AI answer generation, help ensure the most authoritative or up-to-date sources are referenced first, and reduce the need to exclude other useful content sources through filters.
