Customer Use Case
The customer uses the Content Library Translation Queue to review translated Q&A pairs, such as comparing English source content against German translations.
Users can currently choose between Compare View and List View when reviewing translated content.
Current Behavior
When a user selects Compare View at the queue level, all Q&A pairs default to Compare View. This preference is consistently applied across the content displayed in the queue.
However, the same behavior does not occur when the user selects List View.
If the user changes the queue-level view from Compare View to List View, individual Q&A pairs may continue to display the Compare View option/state. The user must then change the view while reviewing individual Q&A pairs.
Requested Enhancement
Make the queue-level List View selection behave consistently with Compare View.
When a user selects List View at the Translation Queue level:
- All Q&A pairs displayed in the queue should default to List View.
- Individual Q&A pairs should inherit the queue-level List View selection.
- Users should not need to change each Q&A pair from Compare View to List View individually.
- If the user later changes the queue-level selection back to Compare View, all Q&A pairs should again default to Compare View.
Expected Behavior
The view selected at the Translation Queue level should act as the default view for all Q&A pairs in that queue, regardless of whether the user selects Compare View or List View.
Example:
- User opens translated English-to-German Q&A pairs.
- User selects List View at the queue level.
- User opens any Q&A pair.
- The Q&A pair opens in List View.
- User changes the queue-level setting to Compare View.
- Q&A pairs now default to Compare View.
Business Value
This would create consistent behavior between the two view options and reduce unnecessary clicks for customers reviewing larger volumes of translated content. It would also allow users to control their preferred translation review experience from one queue-level setting rather than adjusting Q&A pairs individually.
