Team, currently the 'Text Area' custom field outputs information stored in multiple lines as a single line (where the new lines get replaced as spaces) when added to a response field.
Since we have a 'Text box' & 'Text Area' type of custom field, the latter is clearly meant to store multi-line information. Users creating a 'Text Area' custom field would also be aware of it's usage and have it as a separate placeholder rather than keep it as part of a statement or single line of content.
