I’m submitting this enhancement idea on behalf of our strategic client, Optum.
Overview
- Optum is requesting an update to the Response Project Task module within Calendar View.
- The system-generated default “Submission Due” task currently displays across the full project lifecycle from the “Start Date” (i.e. project created date) through the “Due Date”.
- This creates unnecessary clutter in the Calendar View and makes it harder for users to quickly identify the items that matter most.
Current Challenge
- The “Submission Due” task is automatically created and is not editable.
- Because it spans the entire date range, the task appears continuously rather than only when the project is actually due.
- This behavior introduces visual noise and reduces the clarity of the calendar experience.
Proposed Enhancement
- Update the Response Projects Calendar View so the “Submission Due” task displays only on the actual Due Date defined on the Product Details page (i.e. About page).
- If the above display logic cannot be changed, allow the “Submission Due” task to be editable so Optum can define a date range or limit the task to a single due date display.
Expected Impact
- Reduces clutter in Calendar View and improves overall readability.
- Aligns task visibility with the true project due date, improving accuracy and user confidence.
- Provides a more flexible user experience.
