Enhancement Request Summary:
Add a prompt editor within the AI Draft workflow to support iterative prompt refinement and response regeneration without requiring users to discard and restart the draft generation process.
Business Requirement / Use Case:
Currently, users are unable to edit or refine prompts once AI Draft responses are generated. If the generated output requires adjustment, users must discard the existing responses and restart the generation process from scratch. This creates inefficiencies and increases manual effort during proposal response refinement workflows.
Users expect the ability to iteratively improve AI-generated responses by modifying prompts directly within the AI Draft experience, similar to conversational AI refinement workflows.
Requested Enhancement:
- Introduce a prompt editor at the AI Draft level
- Allow users to:
- Edit/refine prompts after initial response generation
- Regenerate responses using updated prompts
- Iteratively refine outputs without discarding existing drafts
- Preserve workflow continuity while improving usability and productivity
Current Limitation:
- No prompt editor available after AI Draft generation
- Users must:
- Remove/discard generated responses
- Re-enter prompts manually
- Restart the entire generation process
- Results in repeated effort and reduced efficiency during drafting workflows
Business Impact:
- Slower proposal response refinement process
- Reduced usability for iterative AI-assisted drafting
- Increased manual effort and user frustration
- Limits effective prompt engineering and controlled response optimization
Customer Feedback:
Customer highlighted that iterative refinement is a critical expectation from AI-assisted drafting workflows and requested clarification on whether this capability exists today or is planned as a future enhancement.
