Client: Oracle
Ticket: TKT-210202
Current Situation:
Currently, the system does not provide any mechanism to identify whether a Verbatim response was used in a generated answer. Users cannot easily distinguish which parts of the response are Verbatim versus generated content.
Requested Enhancements:
- Verbatim Response Flag/Icon
- Need: A clear indicator (such as a flag or icon) on the answering page that signifies if any part of the response was sourced as a Verbatim response.
- Benefit: Allows users to quickly see whether the system included exact Verbatim content.
- Visual Differentiation Between Verbatim and Non-Verbatim Content
- Need: A way to visually indicate where a Verbatim response ends and the non-Verbatim (generated) response begins, such as spacing, shading, or another visual cue.
- Benefit: Improves clarity for users reviewing the response, ensuring transparency between sourced and generated content.
Business Justification:
Implementing these features will enhance user trust and usability, allowing clients to quickly identify sourced content and understand the context of generated responses. This is especially critical in instances where exact content attribution is necessary.
Current Gap:
No functionality exists today to flag or visually differentiate Verbatim content from generated content in answers.
Client Request:
Oracle is requested to evaluate and implement these features in a future release.
