I’m submitting this enhancement idea on behalf of our strategic enterprise client, Microsoft.
OverviewMicrosoft would like to expand Responsive’s Content Library capabilities to support uploading large files, particularly videos exceeding 100 MB. As video content becomes increasingly important for proactive proposal packages, Microsoft’s priority is to keep all related content centralized within Responsive rather than relying on external systems.
Current Challenge
- Sathish Siva confirmed that local uploads to the Responsive Content Library are currently limited to 100 MB, regardless of file type.
- Microsoft prefers not to store proposal-related videos in external tools such as Teams or Seismic.
- These external systems often lack:
- Reliable usage and engagement metrics, and
- Consistent administrative visibility and control.
- Many proposal-related video assets exceed 100 MB, making them incompatible with the current local upload limit.
- As a result, content becomes fragmented across systems, reducing visibility, governance, and reporting.
Proposed Enhancement
- Increase or remove the 100 MB local upload limit for the Content Library.
- Add native support for large video files and other large documents, allowing them to be stored and managed directly within Responsive.
- Ensure these assets retain the same governance, metrics, and administrative controls as other Content Library content.
Expected Impact
- Enables Microsoft to centralize all proposal-related content, including large video assets, within Responsive.
- Improves content governance, reporting, and usage tracking.
- Supports Microsoft’s growing use of video in proactive proposal packages.
- Enhances Responsive’s value as a single source of truth for proposal content and assets.
