State Street has requested ANY/ALL/SEQUENTIAL process for project authorship. They would like to see the same functionality that we have for the answer review process, but for those authoring the answers to project questions.
Elevance & Fortrea would both benefit from this enhancement
@lee This is not in our roadmap. We will keep you informed when we prioritize it in future.
Innovations in Traffic Systems has a strong need for configurable authoring workflows, specifically an All authoring option.
Their response development process typically involves multiple subject matter experts contributing different portions of an answer. Today, there is no clear or easy way for the question owner to track when each contributor has completed their portion before the response needs to advance to review.
Their ideal workflow would allow multiple contributors to be assigned as authors under an "All Authors" model, where each contributor can independently mark the question as answered when their portion is complete. The question owner would then have visibility into each contributor's completion status (via a checkmark indicator next to the contributor's avatar/initials, like what you see in the review workflow process) and could easily determine when all required input has been received.
Once all contributors have completed their portions of the answer, the question owner would perform a final check to ensure the response is cohesive, accurate, and properly formatted before marking the question as answered and advancing it into the review process.
Alternatively, a sequential authoring workflow could work but when there are several author contributors, this could cause a bottleneck to authors later in the sequential list.
This capability would improve collaboration, provide greater visibility into author progress, and better support complex responses that require input from multiple contributors before review.
