Hi all,
After doing some testing with bulk updating content using Format Content, I'm hoping to get some clarity on if this is expected behavior or if there is a bug when bulk updating styles.
When trying to update styles on content that already has an existing style applied, we give a confirmation message stating that content has been updated, but when looking at the content it doesn't show updated in the Style dropdown or Source Code. Interestingly enough, Activities does show the change being completed even if the record itself does not reflect this change.

I then cleared the formatting on this record and utilizing Format Content, applied a style (heading 1). This updated the content but it seems like it did not apply the Style, just the properties of the style. Looking at the Style dropdown, nothing is selected and the source code doesn't mention the style, just the updated formatting properties.

This leads me to a couple of questions:
Does Format Content for Styles only update content that has no style or formatting applied?
If so, the confirmation message is misleading to users thinking they updated all of the records.
When applying a style via Format Content, does this adjust the formatting to match the style or truly apply the Style from the Styles imported into the Org Settings/Company Features?
If the style is not being applied, the Format Content to Predefined Style language is misleading to what updates are occurring on the content
Apologies for the long email. I'm more than happy to walk through this with someone, I tried to take a screen recording but it ended up being too long and hard to follow. Let me know if there are any questions! Thank you if you made it this far in the email 😂
