Is there a reason why the Project Category custom field is a 'Checkbox' in Organization Settings but doesn't allow the user to create options for users to select from? I know that it's a checkbox so it can be reported on, but I would love to understand the reasoning behind why clients cannot edit the field and add selectable options. My client, Vision Service Plan, wants to be able to have their users choose from a list instead of having a free text field.

I also noticed that Project Category isn't available as a visual in the Executive Dashboard, as you only have the option to apply the category within the Filter.

Hi Kendall,
Thanks for submitting the idea. The project category is a system defined field and we will not allow any system defined to be edited. The users can edit the display name but not the other fields. This is a checkbox to categorize the project based on the industry or region, but we will not show the values any where, either you can select it from dropdown(providing %), if the value has been provided before.
