The File Mapping Agent and AI Draft do not currently support auto-generated dropdown or selectable controls within a response cell. When importing files that contain Excel-style dropdown/radio-button controls, the tool captures only the question and answer content (including predefined answer choices as text) but is unable to automatically create or render these interactive controls within the response field.
As a result, when a source document contains a multiple-choice dropdown spanning multiple rows, only a single option is captured while the remaining options in the group are skipped, and in some cases the entire dropdown list is omitted. In the reported case (Nasdaq Inc, project "AI Testing-Infosec", file Nasdaq_Inc.xlsx, sheet "Question_BCP"), a dropdown question spanning rows 6-10 had only one option captured, and column F was mapped instead of the correct column G. Customers with complex and varying RFP structures find the resulting manual mapping time-consuming, which is what prompted this request.1
Expected behaviour
The File Mapping Agent should correctly detect multiple-choice/dropdown questions during import and capture all options within a dropdown group, rather than picking up only a single option or skipping the list entirely. Where a source document contains Excel-style dropdown or radio-button controls, the tool should recognise and preserve these as selectable controls in the response field (or otherwise represent all option values accurately), and map them to the correct response column. This would reduce the need for manual mapping on complex, varying RFP structures.
