New Collection Not Appearing in Content Library Facet Menu

Hi Community,

I'm new to Responsive and hoping someone can help.

I'm an admin with full permissions and created a new collection, but it doesn't appear in the Content Library facet menu. I can only see it in the backend under Content Library > Collections.

I've already tried:

• Logging out and back in
• Refreshing the page
• Setting visibility to specific users (myself and a colleague)
• Setting visibility to all users

However, the collection still doesn't appear in the list.

Could someone explain what I might be missing or doing wrong?

Hi Mara,

One thing I'd recommend checking is whether the collection currently contains any content.

From what I've seen, creating a collection alone doesn't necessarily make it appear in the Content Library facet menu. The facet is designed to help users filter existing content, so if the collection is empty, there may not be anything for the facet to display.

If you haven't already, try the following:

1. Add at least one piece of content (Q&A, document, etc.) to the new collection.
2. Navigate back to the Content Library and refresh the page.
3. Check whether the collection now appears in the facet menu.

If you've already added content to the collection and it still doesn't appear, then the visibility settings Alexis mentioned would be the next thing to verify—specifically under Organization Settings > Content Library > Collections, ensuring the collection is available to your user or to all users.

If neither of those resolves the issue, it may be worth raising a support ticket so the team can investigate whether there's an issue specific to your organization.
