Problem Statement
The customer relies on Content Library exports as part of their annual content audit process, where records are distributed to stakeholders for review. The introduction of reference tags is intended to reduce content duplication and improve content management efficiency; however, the current export experience does not provide sufficient visibility into referenced content.
Current State
When Content Library records containing reference tags are exported, the export only displays the reference tag details (tag name/reference information) rather than the underlying content associated with those tags. As a result, reviewers cannot see the complete content within the exported file and must navigate back to the platform to understand the referenced information.
Desired Future State
When exporting Content Library records that contain reference tags, the export should display the associated referenced content, not just the reference tag details. This would provide complete context within the export, support offline review and audit workflows, and enable reference tags to be effectively adopted as a mechanism for reducing content duplication while maintaining content visibility during review processes.
Business Impact
Without visibility into referenced content in exports, annual content audits become less efficient and require additional effort to validate content. Enhancing exports to include referenced content would improve reviewer experience, streamline audit workflows, and increase the value and adoption of reference tags within the Content Library.
