Current Behavior: When mapping a document (Word/PDF) in Responsive, the Auto Identify feature is currently only available for Sections and Questions. All other mapping options including Header, Help Text, Ignore, Description, Label, and Tags require manual identification and selection by the user.
Requested Behavior: Customer is requesting that the Auto Identify functionality be extended to support additional mapping element types, such as Header, Help Text, Description, Label, Tags, and Ignore. The expectation is that the same or a similar algorithm used for auto-identifying Sections and Questions could be applied to these element types, leveraging consistent formatting patterns within the document to detect and suggest matches.
Use Case:In many documents, certain element types such as Headers or Help Text follow consistent and distinguishable formatting patterns. In such cases, having an Auto Identify option would significantly reduce the time spent on manual mapping. The customer acknowledges that this would not apply to every document and confirms they would simply opt not to use the feature when formatting is inconsistent.
Business Impact: This is a key workflow requirement for the customer. Manual mapping of these element types across lengthy documents is time-consuming and inefficient, particularly for recurring document structures.
