I am submitting this enhancement request on behalf of our strategic client, Evernorth.
Request:
Enhance the notification logic for authors in projects so that users who have not completed a question do not continue to receive repetitive notifications once another assigned author has completed it, or provide more granular control over notification behavior.
Current Limitations:
- When multiple authors are assigned to a question or section, users who did not complete the question continue to receive daily email notifications until the entire section is marked as complete.
- This behavior is currently expected but does not align with user expectations, especially in collaborative workflows.
- Unlike reviewers, authors do not have a configurable “Review Process” or similar control to manage notification behavior.
- This results in inaccurate reporting and attribution, as teams must manually remove authors who did not actually complete the work.
- The issue occurs consistently across all projects and has been a long-standing concern for the client.
Proposed Solution:
- Introduce logic to stop notifications for other assigned authors once a question is marked as complete by any one user.
- Alternatively, provide configurable notification settings for authors (similar to the reviewer “Review Process”) to control when notifications should stop.
- Allow automatic adjustment of author attribution based on actual completion activity to improve reporting accuracy.
Benefits to Evernorth:
- Reduces unnecessary and repetitive notifications for users.
- Eliminates manual effort required to manage author assignments post-completion.
- Improves accuracy in reporting and user attribution.
- Enhances overall user experience and aligns behavior with expected collaborative workflows.
