Problem:
When a table is marked as “table as answer,” users cannot easily add supporting disclosures or footnotes directly associated with the table. Adding footnotes requires awkward workarounds, such as creating separate response fields, which introduces formatting issues, ordering problems, and extra manual steps. Users also cannot reliably add symbols like asterisks within table content and have them behave consistently across source and template exports.
Requested enhancement:
Provide native support for footnotes or supplementary text tied to a table, including:
- Ability to add footnotes or disclosures directly below a table.
- Better control over table-level formatting and structure (for example, adding rows for disclosures).
- Stable ordering of response fields so added content does not jump above or below other responses during export.
