PROD-I-593 Permissions to toggle 'Save in Answer Library' based on the user role

Raised by Infosys:

Save in Answer Library toggle is disabled on the project level and they do not want to give the ability to toggle for all the users even if they are going to be the author on the question. They prefer to have this enabled for certain roles.

Toggle has to be displayed only for admins or any user with this permission defined in the custom roles.

Thanks for submitting the idea on behalf of Infosys. I could understand the client do not want to save the Q&A pairs in Answer library. But may I know is there a specific reason or the pain point the client is facing?

Hi Deepan,

They have many custom roles and a lot of these users collaborate at different point of the project. Ex: Solutions teams start with the response and then other teams like finance, product are involved as and when required. Most of these users are under custom roles. Though they have disabled the 'Save in Answer library' on the project, the option is available for all the users working on the project to toggle within the sections and also do a bulk update on sections to 'Save in Answer library'. They would prefer to have this available only for certain roles and not have all the users in the project enable/disable it.

The projects are really huge with 1000+ questions and enabling toggle on a few sections accidentally can result in moving 100s of questions to AL and moderating to taking action on AL is going to be a huge task for them. They prefer to have the right set of users control it and defining that permission on the role would be great.
