ADP has provided the following enhancement request for Agent Studio:
Problem
Current agents:
- Require very specific filters (e.g., exact tag values).
- Are not efficient for large-scale libraries (15,000+ records).
- Do not support broad/bulk or generalizable logic.
- Are better suited to one-time use cases than recurring workflows.
Requested Enhancements
The customer wants higher-level, more flexible, conversational agents, comparable to Power Automate.
Examples of expected capabilities:
Filter Flexibility
Allow instructions like:
- “Run monthly. Pull all items with review dates in the next 30 days for all solution tags beginning with ‘+’.”
- “Notify all content owners of upcoming reviews for their items across all BUs.”
This eliminates the need to:
- Explicitly list every solution tag.
- Explicitly configure narrow filter combinations.
Recurring Automation
They want recurring workflows that:
- Execute monthly
- Identify upcoming scheduled review items
- Notify content owners
- Aggregate results into reports
Conversational Definition of Workflows
Enable natural-language-style tasks:
- “Every month, generate a report of items due next month and notify owners.”
