I submitted this in May 2021, but Atlassian has just requested the same as a very high priority for them so I am resurfacing this.
Atlassian has indicated they would like to have every Q/A pair have a default set of three answer types. They note this is critical functionality for them and are asking this to be a high priority request and have submitted ticket #20940 for this. I'm also attaching a recording where they walk through the request.
Below is the original request:
I have a couple of customers, Coresite and Panopto, that have requested a way to set default answer headers in the answer library. Similar to how you can set pre-defined tags in the answer library, they would like to set a pre-defined list of answer library headers that would be applied to all their content
In the case of Coresite, they have 30+ sites that they have to provide answers for with each Q/A pair. Currently one of their admins has to manually add an answer type header for each site to each Q/A pair when bringing it into the AL. She'd like to be able to just have those answer headers preset for each Q/A Pair that gets added in the answer library.
In the case of Panopto, they are looking to have consistency across their answer headers so they can narrow to those consistently applied answers when answering a project or running auto-respond. They have several team members adding content and they've struggled to get everyone using the same answer header which makes it hard to find what they are looking for (for example, one user uses answer header yes/no/N/A and another uses compliance answer and another inadvertently loads content as Response 1 but should be using yes/no/N/A or compliance answer).
Let me know if more details would be helpful!
