Users from GE HealthCare España have reported challenges when configuring and exporting complex Word questionnaires in Responsive. The current behavior results in duplicate answer fields appearing in the exported document, especially when questions and responses are located on the same line or within mixed text-and-table layouts.
The issue arises primarily in documents that are not structured as tables or spreadsheets. When users configure sections line by line—assigning each item as a question and its corresponding text as an answer—the export process duplicates the response fields even if no edits are made. This forces users to manually edit and clean up the exported file, which is time-consuming and increases the risk of accidental deletions or formatting errors.
1.- The structure of your questionnaire (how many sub‑questions per item, arrangement of answer lines, etc.):
Number of main items: 16 numbered sections (from 1 to 16), each containing multiple sub-questions.
Sub-questions per item: Varies depending on the section. For example:
- Section 5 (Installation) includes more than 10 technical subsections.
- Section 11 (Maintenance Contracts) is divided into three types of contracts (A, B, and C), each with multiple fields.
- Section 16 (components table): is included a table inside a word document. ** that issue has been resolved in this request.
Layout of response fields:
- Text format with spaces to fill in (dotted lines or blank fields).
- Many questions are yes/no type with checkboxes and white spaces inside.
- Some sections include tables to be completed with technical data (such as components, brands, models).ç
Section 16 (components table): is included a table inside a word document. ** that issue has been resolved in this request.
- There are also open fields for technical descriptions, pricing, conditions, etc.
2.- One or two sample documents that trigger the duplication issue
Attached two word questionaries (very similar between them and very common for tenders in Madrid)
I’ve included:
- original questionnaire (algo included in this request)
- mapped questionnaire (questions in yellow and answers in red)
We believe the best option would be to treat each item as a question and everything underneath as the answer.
This way, responses can be entered on the same line when required, and the structure aligns with the questionnaire’s format.
It would be ideal if the tool could avoid duplicating answer fields during export.
- Exported questionnaires. How the tool is exporting the type of documents. As you see fields response are being duplicated.
3.- Your ideal output format (i.e., how you’d like the final document to appear, without duplicates
- Attached the questionnaire (Encuesta técnica_final version but manually edited). That’s an example without duplicate responses fields.
