Working with Honeywell, they have provided feedback that about their experience trying to export directly to PDF. Here is their thoughts and where they are encountering issues:
- A consistent comment I am hearing from the team is about exporting directly to PDF. So far, it would be impossible to export proposals directly to PDF because of certain design elements that Responsive does not support and Word does support. Because of the number of iterations that the proposal goes through, it is burdensome to “save” all of the design edits for the Word export. This is the theme of the following points.
- Landscape orientation: On almost every proposal our team submits, there needs to be one horizontal (landscape) page. This is possible to accomplish in Word after export; however, I’d like to request a way to do this within Responsive also.
- Table of Contents: The dynamic reference field called Table of Contents is another design edit that can be accomplished after exporting to Word, but it would be very helpful to incorporate into Responsive.
- Accuracy of section preview: There is a lot of difference between the section previews and the resultant export. We would love this to be improved if possible.
Let me know if there are questions around this or you can speak to the feasibility of the request.
