Enhancement Request: Expand Moderation Triggers for Q&A Pairs -65828

Currently, the moderation system only triggers when the answer text in a Q&A pair is modified. Updates to the question text, metadata fields (such as owner or moderators), or other non-answer elements do not send the Q&A to the Moderation Queue, even though these changes may impact externally visible content, such as the Profile Center.

Changes to question text
Updates to metadata fields (e.g., owner, moderators)
Any content changes made by the original creator, even if they are the assigned moderator

This would ensure all meaningful modifications undergo proper review and align with user expectations for transparent content governance.

This is a high priority request for State Street - we need to ability to control what triggers moderation (beyond edits to answer text). It would be ideal to update our moderation settings to allow users to select the following options:

-Changes to metadata

-Changes to question

-Changes to answer

-Any changes made by original creator, even if they are assigned as moderator

Also State Street is requesting the ability for On Demand moderation, like we have for On Demand Review. This is lower in priority than the above request.

@support Need some clarification on this

1. Does metadata refer to the only the "Metadata" group or does it include "Custom fields, Privacy" and any other custom groups created by the user?
2. Right now if the user is moderator, making any change to the response will not go for moderation. With the requested change the user has to accept via moderation. Wouldn't this be a redundant?

1. Metadata refers to any changes made to: tags, custom fields, collections.

2. Apologies for the confusion. You are correct. If a user is listed as the moderator, this should not go to moderation. You can disregard this point (I was not the original poser of this S4).

The optimal solution would allow the user to define (within org settings) what specific changes to a record trigger moderation.. like a pick list for :
-Question Text
-Metadata (Tags, Custom Fields, Collections)
-Changes to owners
-Changes to review cycle
