This request is directly from Fiserv, but Genesys has also asked for this functionality. They would like to have the check mark back for closed comments. There may totally be a reason we did away with this in the new UI, so if we can understand that, we can explain it

Thanks for looking into this Ruby. It is very unfortunate that this is the intended behavior of the new content library. Is there no way for this feature to be included in the new UI as a future enhancement? I mean, this feature is already in the Classic UI. What is the benefit of having this feature removed in the new UI? Our moderators and content reviewers use this feature most of the time, so taking this away doesn't do them any good. By the way, I have submitted this as feedback as well.

Dynatrace and Beeline have both asked for this. It's important for them to see that there was a comment, even if it has been closed.
