As a project owner/manager, they need the ability to drag and drop project due dates using Calendar view so they can quickly change/reassign project dates.
Hi,
Hi @Khalees V They are stating that it depends on the task. If the task just has due date, then just change the due date. If there is a date range, then it should change the start and due date both. Maybe there can be a prompt to the user asking what date to change? and It should be for all tasks.
@Delora Immaculat J Thanks for sharing additional insights. This is currently not in our 2025 roadmap. Tentatively, we are planning to do a POC in Q1 2026.
@Delora Immaculat J This is not in our 2026 roadmap. That said, Instead of drag and drop - Do you think we can bring the ability to quickly change the date using date picker? Will this solve their problem? If this will be helpful, i can check with RRT Engineering team for Tech Feasibility.

@Delora Immaculat J As per the email, Smriti is fine with bringing date picker instead of drag and drop. I am moving with next step - Working with Product Design team for the design followed by Tech Feasibility check with RRT team and then finally ETA based on the Tech Feasibility.

Problem Statement: Currently, project tasks in the calendar view cannot be rescheduled using drag-and-drop functionality. Users must manually update dates through the task detail view. This creates friction in planning workflows, especially for teams managing multiple tasks dynamically.Expected EnhancementKKD Proposed alternative: Date picker for updating task dates (designs to be shared for review).
