The client reported that Responsive did not recognize the drop-downs in an Excel file when imported. The issue was later resolved by switching to Google Sheets instead of using Office 365. When asked how the issue was resolved, the client explained that Office has a limitation of 255 characters for drop-down options.
To work around this, the client created a new column containing all the options and configured the drop-down to pull values from there. This allowed Office to recognize the drop-down, and as a result, Responsive started functioning as expected.
However, the client feels that Responsive should be able to detect such scenarios and handle them more gracefully. Currently, no error message is displayed to the user, which could lead to confusion if the file is not processed correctly.
