Handling Encrypted or Password-Protected Files in Responsive - Ticket ID: 60106

Hi Team,

I am raising a feature request on behalf of Rodrigo from Feedzai regarding an enhancement to Responsive's file import functionality.

Use Case: When creating a project and importing a file that is encrypted or password-protected, the system currently does not respond or provide feedback. This can lead to confusion for users who may not understand why the file isn’t being processed.

Suggested Improvement: To improve user experience, it would be helpful if Responsive could display an informative message indicating that encrypted or password-protected files cannot be read or imported. This would provide users with better clarity and guidance on handling such files.

While this issue is not technically a bug, it would significantly enhance the current functionality and usability of Responsive.

We don't have a recording that shows the current behavior, but let me check with the client and get back to you on that. But this has been tested internally and confirmed that the system doesn't provide any Feedback.

Another one of our client (RWS Group -TKT-209258) requested this feature again.

Scenario: Since the system allowed to Import the protected file, after the project completion the customer were not able to export it back to Source as the file was protected.

A message at the time of import stating Responsive could display an informative message indicating that encrypted or password-protected files cannot be read or imported will be helpful.
