Unable to add 'Author due date' to a section, if it does not have an author already, individually or

This request is from Murex.

Replication Steps:

1. Have a section with authors and a due date.
2. Create a new section without authors.
3. Bulk selecting both these sections >> Manage due date >> does the job for the section with authors but not for the no author section.

We are unable to update the section due date for the section without authors, individually \ in a bulk manner.

When we conveyed that this is our intentional behavior, below are the Client words:

IF IT IS VALID, why is the option to bulk update the due date on sections with no authors available if it doesn’t work??

It should’ve been a mix of the below:

1. Option disabled and cannot update due date on sections with no authors.
2. Have a toast message stating that no changes were made.
3. Inform the user that sections with no authors (cannot be /did not get) updated.

Eventhough bulk update does not update the due date in this scenario, we are receiving a wrong toast message. So, Client wants to get this addressed, for better user experience.
