Star Rating

Hi,

I am very interested in using the star rating in content. I have read that you have two options, leave it up to opinion or set up a rating system with strict rules as to what makes something one, two, three, etc. stars. I would like to ask how others have set up their star ratings and what criteria you have for each level.

Hi @Liz Zokvic!

I'm happy to share what we use: We align our star rating to the content score. So we have our score paramters set up like this:

Last Reviewed Date - 10

Used Count - 35

Last Updated Date - 30

Last Used Date - 25

So using this, each piece of content has a score that is generated and updates based on those parameters. On a quarterly basis, we update the star ratings on the content like this:

0-29 - 2 stars

30-60 - 3 stars

61-80 - 4 stars

81-100 - 5 stars  

I just do the filters in the library, search for content with a score between 0-29 for example, and then do a bulk update to make all of that 2 stars, and so on for 3, 4, and 5. Hope this helps!
