My customer Symplr is currently working through an expansive, and challenging, review process that involves numerous stakeholders and user teams. Even in this comprehensive review, there are still occasions where they need to tap-in a separate resource not previously made a part of the on-demand (or scheduled) review. Currently, when an admin @mentions via comments feature to a currently non-assigned user to provide context, the link that is produced from that comment, if clicked on by that non-assigned user, will get an alarming system error as they don't have edit permissions to the review queue. Manually adding extra users to the owner/moderator slots is a way around this, but not a fully complete solution as it is a time-consuming workaround.
Enhancement #1 - System Issue Clarity
If the error is a permission problem - be more specific in the notice that appears on screen. It's not a system error, it's a permission error - it would be more helpful and less alarming for end-users if the tool could detect that a user trying to follow a link doesn't have edit/view rights in the review queue and therefore display a message stating that 'You do not currently have the permissions necessary to view this record in the review queue, please contact your admin'.
Enhancement #2 - Add User Prompt for Review Queue/Comment Behavior
If an admin or assigned reviewer needs to loop-in an unassigned SME for more context for that ongoing review it would be incredibly helpful to have a pop-up appear offering to 'Add' that SME as a reviewer/commentor or moderator/commentor such that any permission issues can be mitigated and the admin user given a helpful/timely reminder that can speed up a complex review process. This would be similar in nature to the pop-up that appears when you are trying to @Mention a user on the project module and that user isn't a part of the project's team.
Thanks!
