Retention Policies

I was wondering how others manage or handle retention policies with Responsive, considering all projects are saved indefinitely. For example, if your company has a retention policy of removing files after X number of years from a specific location you store proposal documents (i.e. SharePoint), knowing that projects are held indefinitely in Responsive, you would still have that "proposal" retained in the system, even if you removed the files from another location. Ultimately, you would have to delete the project, which we prefer not to do. I was curious if anyone else has come across this situation and how they handle.

That's a great question @Nick Gehrs. In my previous position as a proposal manager, we had a retention policy set by our Legal department for finalized/signed proposals/submissions. However, I never considered the content that was in Responsive (it was RFP360 back then). I would get clarification from your Legal/Compliance department on if all content from the response has to be deleted, or if it is the final document. Hopefully you can continue to keep your content and Q&A pairs in your library for future use, even if you can't have the complete response document. As for deleting it in Responsive, just reach out to your CSM or customersuccess@responsive.io for assistance in having the content deleted.
