Unlike MS Word, we do give the ability for the users to split a single cell into multiple cells. As of now, we only have the option to split an already merged cell. The workaround that we have is to use the insert column in the table properties.
The customer really wants this feature to split a single unmerged cell into multiple cells as we have in MS Word.
