When an RFP ask to provide information and list clients you have lost, how do you respond?
The security, privacy, and business concerns of its clients, both current and past, are of the highest priority to COMPANY and as such details of COMPANY’s customers are classified as client / business confidential. COMPANY customers span a wide range of industries, with extensive presence in the financial services, insurance, government, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, biotech, aerospace, telecommunications, manufacturing, utilities and consumer arenas.
Due to business and client confidentiality, COMPANY does not disclose details of customers past and present in proposals.
@ElaineC is spot on. If you are unsure of the exact wording, ask your Legal Dept. to help you out. If you feel that this is a question that could get you disqualified, you can offer a percentage response and explanation. For example - COMPANY has less than 1% client turnover. Turnover is most often attributed to customer being acquired, customer ceasing to do business, or customer changing their business focus.
