We are in the process of really digging in to clean up our Content Library, and we 'officially' have ZERO duplicates. But...we have SOOOOO many 'similar'. The View Similar feature is great! But, we are losing valuable metadata when doing compare/merge this way. We cannot bring over the used count information like we can with the duplicate report. So, I have developed my own 'hack'. I add an 'alternate answer' to each relevant Similar Q&A pair that is 100% the same - so it then pulls into the duplicate report allowing me to combine and merge without losing my metadata :)
Fair warning...it is a pretty manual process to add an alternate answer to each (no bulk option to help), but for clean content, definitely willing to spend the time!
Does anyone else have another 'hack' that could help with this?
