Election Systems & Software would like the ability to add a new Discussion Thread from the Discussion Tab, then link that Discussion Thread to a comment that they add to a question. They would like the ability to add specific comments under specific Discussion Threads. (when a new Discussion Thread is created it automatically adds a "#" before the name, it would be great if we could type in the comment #discussionthreadname and have it be automatically added to the thread)

Thanks for submitting the idea. I would like to ensure that my understand is correct. There will be discussion under a specific topic, which is a existing discussion and the client would like to link the topic and the discussions to a specific question comments. Please correct me if my understanding is wrong.

Hi Deepan - the use case is that a new Discussion Thread has been created on the Discussion Tab ex: "Internal Communications" and then when a user is creating a new comment on a question, they could then link it back to the already created "Internal Communcations" Discussion Thread. The idea is that they could have multiple Discussion Threads with different topics, and any comments on individual questions could be collected under the relevant Discussion Thread. Does that make sense?
