This came up in call with UPS today in regard to images they are uploading to the DL for use with the OC4P add-in.
They use a lot of stock images which they purchase. Most are in jpeg format, and many (but not all) have what native tags (and other metadata) in them, which are supported by Exif and other image standards. UPS currently search and filter their images using these Exif Tags while they are stored in their current storage location, which is Box.
Upon uploading these image files to the RFPIO document library, it was clear that they were expecting that the Exif Tags would be carried over into RFPIO., and obviously they are not.
I actually think that having the ability to read these tags upon upload, and provide an option to automatically create equivalent RFPIO tags may be very helpful to them and to other future customers.
