PROD-I-411 Reimporting a Final Completed Project After Export & Final Fit & Finish

Use Case: Capturing edits made between export and submission of a Proposal

Purpose: Bring edits made in the final exported version back into RFPIO so answers are more accurate and comprehensive. NOTE: Does not need to include client- or deal-specific edits.

Workflow:
Export nearly final project out of RFPIO
Complete final fit & finish (TOC and page breaks)
Have Sales/Compliance/Legal complete the final final review and make edits
Submit the Proposal to the issuer
Reimport the final submitted document back into RFPIO
Capture relevant changes/edits in the AL
Clients requesting: Intrado, Intrado Digital Media, Riverbed, Randstad, Hyland, AIM

@monica@rfpio.com We have this in our product roadmap (Mid Project Export & Import). We are currently identifying the applicability of this feature across our customer base.

Timeline - Yet to be decided, but certainly not this year. I will keep you informed once we confirm on the timeline and priority.

Hey Team, just spoke with Hyland and they are still very interested. They are cool with the workflow outlined above and would like to be able to capture the final version of a project both so that they have an audit trail of their final responses in Responsive, and so that edits made outside the system could potentially be captured as well.

How are they handling it currently?
What updates they do offline?
Who will be doing the edits offline?
Why are they doing edits offline after export?

Any updates to this? I get asked this by prospects often now that I am working as a solution consultant. (Just today from the prospect Voyatek)

@khaless the teams using our application don't always have the ability to force company leadership to use a new platform and they prefer to stick to their way of doing things. Or they may use the platform infrequently enough where it feels frustrating to understand how to do simple tasks vs using a program like Word where they have years of familiarity.
