Hi Team,
I was working with a customer on setting up their author/reviewer workflows, and came across an interesting, seemingly incongruous, functionality point. If a Team Member is assigned as a Reviewer to a Section, they receive a notification indicating as much, even if the Section has not been submitted for review. This is fine, however what we realized was that the Team Member who had been assigned had access to the Section they'd been assigned to prior to it being submitted for review. In addition to being able to view the section as soon as they were assigned, the Team Member assigned as a Reviewer could also edit the content, thereby making themselves an author as well and, in some ways, nullifying the review process that was supposed to be in place.
At the Admin level, it makes sense that we can't limit this capability, since Admins have access to all content at all times, however it seems natural that we could expect Team Members and/or even Managers to be more restricted (i.e. not able to access a section prior to it being submitted for review), insofar as the Review process is designed for authors to be able to work on content, submit it for review, then have reviewers address the content that has been added.
Happy to discuss this in more detail if needed! Thanks for looking into this.
