PROD-I-81 Editing out-of-the-box Custom Fields

Hi team,

Have we considered allowing users to edit the out-of-the-box Project custom fields? I often receive requests from my clients who want to change the type of custom field (from Text Box to Dropdown, etc) within an OOTB field or simply just hide a certain custom field as they don't use it.

I think this would be super beneficial for clients to allow them to truly customize their Project details page to reflect data points/information that is important to their business.

Hi @khalees Thanks for your quick response. After working with their champion user, we discovered that we're able to disable OOB fields by toggling off the enabled button on the bottom right hand part of the "merge tag". This is a great function and they're happy with that ability today. The main request is to be able to change the OOB fields within 'productstage' to pull down menu with these different choices in the attached image. Their vision long-term, they would like to mimic the stages they currently have in salesforce. The 2nd attached image is really their main goal to mirror that of these specific fields in salesforce in their responsive project OOB fields. So as they're going into responsive they can have the same data metrics reflective in their current salesforce environment. Hope this helps. -GB

@Ginno Thank you for sharing more details. Great to hear that the Customer is happy to disable the OOB fields.

That said, the other request regarding "Product Stage" - Can you please submit this as separate S4. This way it will be easy for product team to manage the new requests/asks.
