I don't know if this would cause too much confusion, but I'd like to suggest that the "value in UI" autopopulate or have an option to populate with the "value in file" for the same field in an answer type. If it autopopulates, it would still be able to be overridden manually. If a user wants to keep the values the same, it saves them time, but if the value are different, it will still take the same amount of time.
This idea came to me when I was working on a client document yesterday that had 20 checkboxes for an answer and I had to essentially copy and paste each option twice.

I added a vote to this because I believe you will want to have the value be the same more often than not, so in the majority of cases, this would be a time saver.
