Current Behavior
Once a file is translated within a project (e.g., Spanish → English), the system treats the entire project as a "translated project." All subsequent files uploaded to the same project are then required to go through the translation step – even if they are already in English and require no translation.
This is currently by design, as the system enforces a consistent translation workflow across all files in a project for uniformity.
Requested Enhancement
Introduce a per-file translation toggle during the file import process within a translated project, allowing users to:
- Skip translation for individual files that are already in the target language (e.g., English).
- Override the project-level translation setting on a file-by-file basis without needing to create a new project.
Expected Outcome
Users working on mixed-language projects can import English files directly without being forced through the translation workflow, while still retaining translation capability for non-English files within the same project.
Customer Impact
- Accounts affected: Solovis Inc. (Nasdaq), Honeywell Smart Energy, and others.
