Current Behavior:Guest users in Responsive do not have a standalone "My Work" portal URL. Access to assigned sections or questions within a project is granted exclusively through a notification email sent at the time of assignment. If this email is not received — due to deliverability issues, spam filtering, or domain-level blocking — there is currently no alternative way to provide the guest user with direct access without relying on workarounds such as having another guest user forward their invitation email.
Requested Behavior:The customer is requesting the ability for project owners or admins to generate a direct access link for a guest user's assigned questions or sections, which can then be shared via a separate or alternative communication channel (e.g., manually copied and sent via a different email, shared via Teams or Slack, etc.) without being solely dependent on the system-generated notification email.
Use Case:In this instance, a guest user (sunitreddy@deloitte.com) did not receive the Responsive invitation email due to a suspected domain-level email filtering issue at Deloitte's end. As the notification email was the only method of access, the user was unable to access their assigned sections until another guest user forwarded their own invitation link as a workaround. A direct shareable link generated by the admin would have resolved this immediately without relying on a third-party workaround.
Business Impact:In enterprise environments where strict email filtering and security policies are common, relying solely on notification emails for guest access creates a single point of failure. The ability to generate and share a direct access link would significantly improve the guest user onboarding experience and reduce delays in project participation, particularly for time-sensitive RFP projects.
Proposed Solution:Add an option within the Manage Users / Guests tab that allows project owners or admins to copy or resend a direct access link for a specific guest user's assigned sections or questions, independent of the email notification system.
