Option to Edit Docs in Word App

Hello!

I work with Jeppesen and they are used to handling additional documents (not questionnaires that need mapped) on Sharepoint so they can collaborate. I showed them how to upload the documents into Responsive and use the Edit in Word feature. However, they are reluctant to offer this to their team and would like to submit this enhancement request asking for consideration for the ability to open documents in the Word App from Responsive.

May i know why they are not ready to use MS Office online to edit the document?
What document is that? Attachment to a question?
How do they collaborate with multiple users in editing the document if we open the document in MS-Word from Desktop?

Hi @Khalees V,

Generally these are long narrative documents that provide information about their products. The main reason they want to use Word app instead of online is they cannot @ mention other users in Word Online. The also can't pull open the doc in Word Online and search by their name to find relevant comments. I suggested in the meantime they use Discussions to notify the team members when a document is ready for their review in Word Online.
They have also reported that Word Online often messes up formatting - I do not have an example of this, it's just something they've stated.
