Current Behavior
When users make edits to an answer such as adding line breaks, adjusting spacing, or making other non-content formatting changes the system records this activity as “Answer edited.”
User Expectation
Users rely on the “Last updated by” filter to identify answers where the content has been meaningfully updated (e.g., additions, modifications, or deletions).
However, because formatting-only changes are also tagged as “Answer edited,” the filter becomes less effective and does not accurately represent true content updates.
Requested Enhancement
Users would like the system to differentiate between:
- Content edits → tracked as “Answer edited”, and
- Formatting-only edits (e.g., line breaks, spacing, punctuation) → tracked separately as “Answer formatted.”
This distinction would allow the “Last updated by” filter to function accurately and help users easily identify genuine content updates.
