Guided Projects: Ability to View Source Mapping and Applied Filters After Answer Application

I’m submitting this enhancement idea on behalf of our strategic client, Microsoft.

Overview
Microsoft supports thousands of Responsive users and is actively promoting the adoption of the Guided Projects solution.

To improve transparency and trust in AI-applied responses, they are requesting new functionality that allows users to view how the source document was mapped and which filters were applied, after Guided Projects has generated answers, without losing existing responses.

Current Challenge

After Guided Projects applies answers, users currently have two options: Edit Mapping or Edit Content Filters.
Selecting either option immediately removes all previously applied answers, forcing users to start over.
There is no view-only capability to check how the source document was mapped or which Datasets and Advanced Search filters were applied.
When users question an answer’s accuracy, they cannot verify whether the issue stems from mapping, applied filters, or the underlying content.
This lack of transparency slows troubleshooting.

Proposed Enhancement

Introduce a view-only mode in Guided Projects that allows users to see:
- How the source document was mapped by Responsive.
- Which Datasets and Advanced Search filters were applied when generating answers.
Ensure that accessing this view does not overwrite or remove previously applied answers.

Expected Impact

Provides transparency into how Guided Projects generated responses.
Builds user confidence in AI-driven results and reduces unnecessary rework.
Enables faster troubleshooting and collaboration between authors and Content Managers.
Improves efficiency and user satisfaction as Microsoft expands Guided Projects adoption across thousands of users.

A View only mode would be a good addition not to change the previous answers.

Also, Currently, When the user goes back to the previous step, no updates will take effect unless they make a change(either to mapping or filters). We will Re-initiate the answering process.

For viewing datasets. User can click on the info icon near the project name.

@girinath Thank you for your response. I wasn't aware of the "i" icon displaying filters. This is great news. However I did find that when "Advanced Filters" > "Section Level" is selected, no filters are displayed. Is this a bug? Please see my tests and comments below:

View Mapping:

Microsoft would like the option to view their mapping, without losing all previously applied answers. They are hoping you could implement a "View Mapping" dropdown option (see screenshot).

View Applied Filters - "Advanced Filters" > "Section level" - Filters NOT Viewable:

I applied "Advanced Filters" > "Section level"
and applied various Datasets to each of the project Sections.

However, after answering my project and clicking into the "i" icon, no filters are listed (for reference).

View Applied Filters - "Advanced Filters" > "Project level" - Filters Viewable:

I ran my project through a second time.

This time selecting "Advanced Filters" > "Project-level"
I selected two Datasets.

When clicking into "i", the filters are displayed correctly.

View Applied Filters - "Individual Filters" > "Project level" - Filters Viewable:

I ran my project through again.

This time selecting "Individual Filters" > "Project-level"
I selected filters for Collections, Tags, and one Custom Field
